Customer service is always an topic of interest among friends and coworkers. They have their share of stories to tell, and coming from several jobs that required a lot of customer service I can attest that it is both a blessing and sometimes just some really unpleasant experiences. I've worked as a cashier at a grocery store, and a clothing store. The customers are certainty different in patience but over all it is the same everywhere you. Rather than dwell on the bad experiences however, I have instances where customers completely turned the day around for me.
A particular customer of ours had an incorrect pot sent to him, we apologized and reshipped the correct item right away of course, and due to some unfortunate weather conditions the item was taking a completely impossible time to reach him. We did help him track it and with a little extra patience he finally received it. This costumer in particular was a big fan of some of our cookware and his wife was so happy with it that this was his third pot to the collection.
What stood out to me was that despite the weather being out of our control he was incredibly understanding and very humble through out the entire ordeal. This is something that is quickly learned working retail. I think it's a great lesson in patience and humility, everyone should give it a try at some point.
Any particular instance come to mind to you? Any terrible customer experience online? Off line? As either a customer receiving service, or as an employee. Feel free to share your experience with us, good or bad! We'd love to learn how we can help people have pleasant experiences and serve you better!
